Asphalt Modified “Outlaw” 355 cu. in. Chevy FOR SALE

Car is a “barn find” that has been sitting for about 7 years since it was last raced. It was only raced twice since freshened 7 years ago. Engine has been fired and ran every 6 months. Excellent oil pressure and fires right off. Since this engine was built 8 years ago, details are sketchy, but we will pull the engine down to verify sizes/bearings/wear, etc. Original owner spent over $4500 when originally purchased.

.125” dome forged pistons – 12:1 compression

Solid cam for ½ mile track

Complete roller MOD – Car is a “barn find” that has been sitting for about 7 years since it was last raced. Car was the Madison International 1998 championship car. Car had a mild freshen in ’00 or  ’01 and raced 2 races, then has been sitting in storage ever since. ’75 Chevelle front stub, includes upper and lower a-arms, full suspension front and back – full undamaged interior –fair condition body with “seasoned” bumpers and nerfs. Brake cylinders move, but need rebuilds including the clutch slave. Gunslinger brand chassis, about 10 years old, under slung rear clip, chassis number 007. Three link with coil over eliminators. Older chassis that has been tweaked. The front stub is bent ahead of the spring pockets, as well as a kink behind the right side frame. Older chassis could use a new stub if not parted out. Engine is also for sale.

Rolling Chassis includes:

(4) Carrera shocks (only 2 nights old (and 7 years) since new)

We hope everyone had a Great Christmas Holiday and looking forward to the New Year!!

We are open the 26th & 27th normal hours, 10-6, the 28th normal hours 10-3, and Saturday the 29th we are open only from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., we will be closed Monday and Tuesday for New Year's.

We are working on updating our used parts page and also our close-out page, check back daily for updates, should be completed by Sunday night the 30th.

Shop orders are getting to be about a 2-week wait, please get all your orders in and parts that need servicing as soon as you can, so we can make sure it have it ready for you before season. 

We will be at the Rockford Auction next weekend, January 4th & 5th, we will be able to take back any parts that need servicing, and have them ready for pick-up in our store in Waldo. Please call ahead for details and more info..

Just a reminder: We are open this Saturday, the 22nd,  from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., then we will be closed Monday the 24th & Tuesday the 25th for Christmas. The following Saturday we are open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., then we will be closed Monday the 31st and Tuesday, January 1st for New Year's. Due to scheduling conflicts with Green Bay Auction, PRI, and Christmas time, we will not be having our 2007 Open House this year in December. Instead we have some other specials that will make for some great shopping experiences for you.

The used parts have been updated today, I am still working on the close-outs to get an up-to-date list done. The complete update of the Close-Outs and used parts will be done by 04/22/07.

For the customers in the Midwest Area (Wisconsin, Minnesota, North & South Dakota, Iowa, and parts of Illinois), we now ship Speedee- Delivery. This price of shipping is about 1/2 of the UPS charges. For a shipping estimate on parts give us a call. (Average- a 10lb package is only going to be around $5 for shipping, the most will be about $30 for a 100lb package). We are also able to ship transmissions and gear sets through Speedee. We feel this is a great service to all the customers, and will help you save some money on gas and time.  www.speedeedelivery.com

We will not be having our Wednesday sales route this year, however we will be having weekly specials and special shipping rates throughout the racing season. Check back weekly for sales, both on parts and shipping. The first weekly sales will be posted April 22nd. These sales will be made available using both Speedee Delivery and UPS. 

For your convenience you may call ahead of time and have your parts pulled and ready for you at the counter. Saturdays especially are very busy at the counter and we feel this will only help both you and us to make your shopping experience easier. With racing just around the corner locally this should only be a great improvement to the service we can provide you.

Grand National Dirt Sportsman we had for sale is Sold!!

Close-Out items will be updated this week, I have many new items to be added and will update the inventory of the sold items that are no longer available. We will also be listing some Blow-Out Sale items, this list should be available by the weekend.

ATTENTION SPRINT CAR TEAMS:  Intercomp 48" Digital Torsion Bar Tester will be available this week at M/R Racing. We will be charging $5 a bar for testing, all bars dropped off will be available the next day for pick-up. We might be able to test the bars while you wait depending on how busy we are that day. We feel this will be a great service we can provide to all the Sprint Car teams. Reminder: we are also a BR Motorsports dealer, orders are usually placed on Monday afternoons and available for pick-up at the M/R Store on Thursdays! We are working on our inventory and knowledge of the Sprint car items, and look forward to working with you during the 2007 racing season. 

I am working on the 2007 pricing and should have the latest version on the internet by the end of March. We will also have CD's available for you to download directly into your computer if needed.

The Dealer Program this year is a great success. We will have all dealer pricing and CD's available at the end March, along with a printed copy for all the dealers. Reminder: Don't forget to have your springs tested before scaling your car for the season. There is no charge for rating springs and we will test them while you wait. We also have over 1000 used springs to choose from at only $20/each, this is a great way to test new set-ups without spending a fortune on New Springs you might only use once. All of our used springs are rated before putting them on the shelf for sale.

We now have a complete inventory of Integra springs available at M/R Racing. We will continue to have Afco springs available for the customers that prefer Afco.

We have also received some more inventory from Quarter Master for some close-out items, I should have them listed by tomorrow night, along with an updated inventory of the items we already have. 

We have received the 2007 Hoosier Tire Pricing, I will also have that updated this week. I will try to list the Good Year & American Racer prices as soon as I receive them.

It is less then a month to Florida Speedweeks, and less then two months before the first ASA race in Texas. If you need shop work done before these races please get it to us as soon as possible, as the shop is about 4-weeks out. We wish all the drivers & crews good luck at all these races.

We have updated our spring section and should be listed on the computer with-in the week. We do have an updated list at the store if you want to give us a call to see if we have the rates that you need.

Next weekend we will be at the Indy Shoe-String Show (www.shoestringracing.com) & we will also be at the Wisconsin Racing Expo held at the State Fair Grounds in Milwaukee. Give us a call if you need any parts delivered to these shows.
